Roselle is a village
located in both DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois. Given its proximity to
Chicago, Roselle serves as a bedroom community to people who commute to and
from the city every day. The village gets its name from Rosell Hough,
a prominent area businessman and president of the Chicago and Pacific Railroad
Company. The extra E was added to the end of Rosell as a printing error on
train schedules, resulting in the current spelling of Roselle.
